Dr. Sheikh hospital, Nephrology section was opened in June 2008. This section is the only pediatric Nephrology unit in Khorasan for patients with the diagnosis of pediatric renal disease.

This section contains 18 beds admitting patients several days up to the age of 16 years. 

Nephrology section has four Nephrology specialty physician. Nursing personnel in this section consist of 11 nurses and two assistant nurses.

The majority of patients of this part are children with congenital defects in the Urinary system - metabolic diseases - nephritic syndrome - glover nephritic - kidney stones or urinary tract infections due to initial and recurrent reflux and treated with Neurogenic Bladder dialysis patients who have complications such as hypertension and renal patients because of end stage of renal function and dialysis or peritoneal dialysis treatment.
